Rice hulls have a wide range of uses, from bedding, to a natural anti-caking agent preventing lumps in powdered food products, as well as in winemaking and brewing. Here are some uses:

For bedding, rice hulls are:

- Allergen friendly
- Minimal dust
- Efficient stall cleaning and often less waste than shavings because they fall through the fork easier
- Reduced felling of trees
- Reduced odor because the waxy coating keeps the ammonia scent to a minimum
- Flame resistant

For brewing, rice hulls:
