At Kawa Project, we aim to replace environmentally destructive agricultural products with low impact alternatives using biotechnology, and at a price that is an alternative to the continually rising costs of cocoa. The demand for chocolate products is not going away, demand often exceeds supply, prices are only going up and with climate change, poor farm management and diseases threatening production, Kawa Project has produced a cocoa alternative solution. We're taking upcycling to the next level by processing used coffee grounds from brewers. We use a proprietary extraction and refining method to produce a milled and ready to use cocoa powder substitute for baking products.
