Living Prairie Farms is a family owned farm and processor on certified organic land. Practices include extensive cover cropping and crop diversity, strip till and other strategic tilling, Sabbath (letting fields rest), and more. 

Living Prairie Farms is based in Wolcott, Indiana. We’re on just over 4,000 certified organic farmland raising crops like sunflowers, soybeans, barley and more. In 2014, after thinking about our responsibility as farmers to help reduce the pollution and environmental damages agriculture can be known for, we decided to transition the farm to organic. 

From a personal viewpoint, our family’s health is very important and we wanted to find ways to reduce or eliminate any bad juju out there from harmful practices. This has meant more nutrients and better tasting food not just for our family but yours too. 



Living Prairie Farms

Our organic high oleic sunflower oil is cold-pressed from carefully selected sunflowers, a process that preserves its natural nutrients and rich flavor. With roots tracing back to the native cultures of North and South America, sunflower oil has long been valued for its versatility in cooking and baking. Its mild, slightly nutty taste enhances dishes without overpowering them, making it an ideal choice for a wide range of culinary applications. Packed with heart-healthy monounsaturated fats, this oil is nutrient dense and flavorful.

Einkorn is one of the oldest known cultivated grains, dating back over 10,000 years and was a staple in ancient civilizations.
