Nutraberry is a Pacific Northwest upcycler of natural functional berry seed flours and oils, which have several applications in healthy and natural foods. Nutraberry's berry seed powders value proposition in food is that berry seeds are both prebiotic due to the polyphenol content, over 60% fiber and being upcycled. Prebiotic is part of the microbiome and gut health, plus it tastes great. The reason Nutraberry does what it does is that from a sustainable supply chain perspective, Washington state grows roughly 95 % of all the raspberries that are processed, processed being converted into puree or juice concentrate, in the U.S. Blackberries are similar for the state of Oregon. Washington State is the largest producer of blueberries in the U.S too. Consumers have built a preference for seedless purées, and our business is built around making beneficial use of the berry seeds created during the production of seedless purées; this material is referred to as 'seed cake'. Our philosophy is that food waste is an asset that represents an area of opportunity for those involved in the food ecosystem, and Nutraberry provides the means to realizing the utilization of this food waste.
