Cool evening temps and warm, not hot, temps in the early Spring season is one of the keys to wonderful stands and tremendous pod production. Then, in late spring, the real magic happens! Longer daylight hours brings warmer temperatures and the dry arid climate allows the plants to dry down by themselves with the use of no chemicals. Mother Nature with her warm days does all the work for us. The plant will naturally dry to a perfect golden brown color and the organic beans are ready for harvest. This is the reason why only the best organic chickpeas come from Arizona. Southwest Processors is located in Tonopah, Arizona which is approximately 40 miles west of Phoenix, AZ. We are an independent, state-of-the-art, full-service bean, grain, and seed processor. Southwest Processors is a 22,000 square foot facility with the storage capacity of 12 million pounds.
