Tenera Grains is a seventh-generation family farm in Addison, Michigan, that started to transition from traditional row crops to ancient grains in 2015. This shift was driven by a commitment to adapt for the sake of future generations ensuring the farm would carry on. The farm now specializes in dehulling buckwheat as it builds out the portfolio of raising gluten free grains. In 2020, we expanded our operations by constructing a dedicated gluten-free facility on the farm. This facility enables the on-site cleaning and processing of teff and buckwheat harvests, ensuring strict gluten-free standards. It also supports other artisan grain producers requiring gluten-free processing services. The farm's dedication to quality and innovation led to the creation of Teffola, a granola product that showcases our teff and buckwheat. This product exemplifies our mission to bring nutritious, sustainably grown ancient grains to a broader market through a simplified supply chain. Through these initiatives, Tenera Grains continues to honor its rich agricultural heritage while promoting sustainable practices and offering high-quality, gluten-free ancient grains to wholesale buyers.
