Sonora White Wheat is as prized for its delicate flavor and soft texture as it is low in protein. It is one of the oldest surviving wheat varieties in North America, tracing its origin to the Sonora region of Mexico. Growing the crop in Oregon, this wheat's deep root structure can reach deep into the soil for water and nutrients and doesn't need irrigation.

We produce Organic Buckwheat in Alberta, Canada, providing a different terroir than Manitoba and more options for mills and manufacturers. We were early members of the Global Organic Alliance and follow the strict protocols of certification including crop rotations, soil management and IPM.

Buckwheat has grown in popularity due to it being gluten-free and with its versatile uses for honey, malt, brewing, distilling and milling and distinctive taste. The whole grain typically targets 11% protein.

We produce Organic Red Chief Lentils in Alberta, Canada. Red Chief lentils are smaller in size and have a rich red-orange color and a mild, nutty flavor. They are very popular in Indian dal dishes and are known as Mansoor.

Sonora White Wheat is a heritage soft winter wheat. Introduced by Spanish missionaries to Mexico and southern Arizona, White Sonora was grown extensively by the native Akimel O’odham people in Arizona. It is believed to be the first wheat introduced to the New World over 300 years ago. The wheat berries have a pleasant light wheat aroma with a delicate, creamy wheat flavor. A lower gluten-producing protein wheat used mostly for cakes and pastries.
